Coming Home Necklace No. 3
A few years back, I tried to make a pact with myself - a pact that said I was no longer going to use past designs and motifs in my work. I was trying to stretch, grow as an artist, push myself - but I had forgotten that in order to branch, you’ve got to have strong roots.
I’m pretty sure I first drew this little feather back in summer of 2017, when we were living in California. It’s form was based off of a real feather I picked up while out at the barn on one of those days that, now, breaks my heart to remember because it was so lovely.
I will happily break my heart and my old pact for this feather. I will free it from the silver again and again because it never fails to make me feel like I'm home.

This necklace measures approximately 58mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the feather and features an Egyptian turquoise stone. It hangs from a delicate but sturdy 18 inch chain and closes with a hand-forged hook.
Please note - this listing is for the necklace shown in the first three photos! Though hard to catch in photographs, this stone also has a little bit of green along the upper edge!
